What information is being collected?
We collect personal information when you register as a member such as your name, postal address, phone number, date of birth,
We do not usually collect “sensitive personal information” about you unless there is a clear reason for doing so, such as when you use our information and advice service we may ask you to provide information so we can provide appropriate facilities for you. We will make it clear to you when collecting this information as to what we are collecting and why.
When someone visits www.ccc.org.uk we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
How Do We Collect Personal Information?
We collect personal information about you when you ask about our activities, register with us to become a member, make a donation to us, register for an event/class, engage with our social media, sign up to our email newsletter, or otherwise give us personal information.
How Do We Use Personal Information?
We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:
• To enable you to become a member so you can join our classes and activities
• To process your donations or other payments, to claim Gift Aid on your donations and verify any financial transactions
• To provide services, activities and classes
• To send out our quarterly newsletter
• To help assist your enquiries with the information and advice service
• To update you with important administrative messages about your donation, an event or services or classes
• Where you volunteer with us, to administer the volunteering arrangement
• To keep a record of your relationship with us.
Do We Provide Information To Other Parties?
We will never sell your data to any third party nor will we share your details with other entities for marketing purposes.
We will only share information with other organisations where we have your permission to do so in accordance with this Privacy Policy or where it is necessary for a legitimate reason connected with the services we offer, or where it is required by law or regulation.
Sometimes, we may need to share your information with a small number of trusted partners (service providers, agents and affiliated companies) but only for the purposes outlined above (e.g. a supplier that processes donor forms or a supplier that processes payments securely). Using our Wifi at our Centre
When you use the CCC Wi-Fi we may collect data about:
